I still love to put up a
Christmas tree.
Some years I have and some
I haven’t–this year I will.
It’s a comfort to see the tree
lights twinkling late into the night.
My entry for Monkey Man’s last hosting for Sunday’s 160 as he takes a needed break. http://petzoldspracticalprose.blogspot.com/

/ December 3, 2011“It’s just an old fashioned tree that means Merry Christmas to me.” A line from an old Christmas song you never hear. Your poem is right. Those lights on it are a comfort in the bleakness of the winter night. Have a blessed Christmas.

/ December 5, 2011I, too, love to see the twinkling lights, but I like to see them outside–in the sky or in someone else’s yards/window. I appreciate the lights from afar!
