we decline
through our blindness
a deceit
we choose
willingly
as we plunge
recklessly
into deterioration
we’ve been fed
untruths,
ladled down
our throats,
masquerading
as gracious
entreats
spoon-feeding
us to join a
parade,
marching
to our own demise
