/ September 28, 2011Thank you for nominating me, and sharing a bit of yourself.
When I was kid, I also got stitches, not in the head but on my knee.
Have a lovely day ~

/ September 29, 2011🙂 Thanks very much for the nomination/award! I have already done this one but it’s so nice to have people who like to read what one writes! It was also quite interesting reading about your seven things. I’m a plant-person, too, and am sooooo with you on the heat/humidity = yucky thing. And I live in TN where we get both in spades in the summer. Can’t imagine how awful it must be down by the everglades!

/ September 29, 2011I was wondering if this is the award for this year because I was nominated a while ago and now it’s showing up again. Who originated this, do you know? Well anyway–it’s fun and I appreciate the acknowledgement too. And if you’ve already done it, you don’t have to repeat the whole process again–that’s a lot!
I don’t live near the Everglades (I’m near Orlando) but I wrote about an experience that happened to my boyfriend and I when we had a vacation near there. Part magical heaven, part worst nightmare! Hehe!

/ September 29, 2011Thank you for nominating me and it is interesting to know something about you. I have also discovered through your nominator some new (to me) poets I have not read before.
I know what you mean about the heat. This summer on the Costa Blanca has been long, very hot and drainingly humid in August. We have just had some rain but it is still warm and muggy. Started thundering now….

/ September 29, 2011You’re so welcome–you are very talented. Well if you find someone new to enjoy–I’m glad about that. If you like funny (and real)–check out Lorna’s Voice!
Your weather sounds just like ours. We’ve had some rainy nights this week. But after 90 degree days we are getting some cooler temperatures due this weekend–less humidity and down near 60 at night–woohoo!

/ September 29, 2011Thank you for the nomination, Gayle, I am honored by it. I hope to justice to the requirements.
I like the seven question part … lots of interesting things can be found out. I have never been able to master sewing. Even though you used to design and make your clothes; you must still have an eye for fashion. You must look like you just came out of a fashion magazine when you are out on the town. ~~~~~ : – )
Hugs,
Izzy xoxo

/ September 29, 2011You’re so deserving, Izzy. And you certainly are versatile–you’ve really stepped up to the challenge of poetry too. I like that seven question thing too–it’s fun to read interesting little things about people isn’t it.
I do have an eye for fashion and I got it from my mother. She always has dressed well and taken such an interest in looking put together–even now at almost 86! I started sewing in junior high during Home-Ec at around age 12 and found I really had a knack for it. My mother was a wonderful seamstress for many years and helped me learn too.
I’m not so sure about looking like I stepped from a fashion magazine but I try! Thanks, Izzy! 🙂 xoxo

/ September 29, 2011Hi Gayle … hope you are well ! One thing that’s good about passing on the award is discovering new and interesting things about others !
Sewing is also something that I’ve done for a good portion of my life … at the moment I’m lazy to sew and there’s no time as well … life’s too hectic … and writing/blogging takes up most of my extra time at the moment …
Thanks for sharing !

/ September 29, 2011Thanks for sharing, Michelle. I like learning those little things about people too. I’ve pretty much put sewing in the past too. I would need a new sewing machine if I did want to start again. I have a vintage Necchi machine from Italy that I bought when I lived in Boston. That thing was old when I bought it back in the 70s but it served me well. 🙂

/ October 3, 2011Congratulations and thank you. You are such a sweetie. And thanks for more new blogs to visit when time allows. Phew! Will I ever catch up.
I “baby” sat with the Gypster from Thursday a.m. to Sunday p.m. and she did not stop for a minute. You’d never know she was an old cat. I thought I’d get lots of blogging stuff done, but no … I wish I could teach her to meditate!!! 😉

/ October 12, 2011What could that cat possibly be doing to keep you running like that?! Sita will occasionally saunter in the office to say hello and “check” on me but there is no running around with her.
It’s funny that you mentioned teaching Gypsy to meditate. When I was working every day, I would always take a few minutes to meditate in the morning and read a bit. Many times, Sita would come and sit next to me. Sometimes I would call to her and ask her if she wanted to meditate with me–and she would! I really got a kick out of that. 🙂

Florida is a very sunny state–in fact it’s known as “The Sunshine State”. Our summers are very, very long and our winters and cold weather very short. I’m quite used to it–having been born and raised here.
I’m so happy to have you visit.

/ October 11, 2011Hi Gayle, I have tried to ask you how I’m to respond to your gracious nomination for this award and cannot find another way so I am asking here. I’ve never been nominated for an award before so am I okay to copy and paste what I need from here in order to thank you, refer to your site and nominate others? I could not find a direct link to this award so do not know what else to do at this point.Sorry to be late to respond but with work and a myriad of other things (I was in CA for a week), this is the first time I’ve had a moment. I totally think you deserve this award for your awesome writing. Thanks again!

/ October 12, 2011Hi Renee, I have been out a couple of days this week too but now that we are together here, perhaps I can help you with this process. Please feel free to copy and paste the format here and enter your own information. Basically, you post the award to your blog, thank the person who nominated you, link 15 blogs that you enjoy and write 7 facts about yourself that you would like to share. And you’re done!
Don’t worry about the “lateness”–it’s OK. You are way past due for an award my dear! Enjoy it! And thank you for your very kind compliment for me, Renee.
