Stay Awhile

Quietly sitting down to prayer

I turn within away from the glare

Turn off the sounds

Turn off the sights

Feel my peaceful center inside

Stay awhile, merging with God

Gayle—is the flower from your garden?

Knowing some things about your feelings and philosophy I understand the poem, So pretty…full of a type of grace

    • No, the flower was from the internet–but it’s really cool isn’t it? And I thought it represented my 160 very well.

I’m glad you liked this, Jaye–yes, my philosophy is showing.

  7. Such lovely words Gayle – I think it’s essential for the soul to turn away from the noise pollution of the world, every now and then, to look within.

Hope you had a great weekend!
