Yogi-posture, ramrod straight,
legs crossed in yin-yang shape.
Hands held gently at rest on the knees,
while fingers posed in mudras
help to focus energies.
Eyes closed softly,
attention on the breath,
allowing it freely to tap into the Source.
Follow the breath,
it will show you the way,
the truth lies within you
beyond this illusory play.

/ August 24, 2017You write about this so serene and calm. And it is! I don’t get into all the postures and such, but I do sit still and tap into the source of things all around me. Still, silent, listening…lovely write Gayle.

/ August 24, 2017Not in good enough shape to do yoga anymore, but I love your poetic rendition of it; certainly agree that the real answers for each of us are within–solutions are an inside job.

/ August 24, 2017I hear the back posture is critical for yoga and meditation. It helps the breath flow more freely.

The opening lines immediately conjure a pose very accurately of one in meditation. One is more or less sitting next! Great wordcraft Gayle!
