Sloppy Sheltie Grin

There he was
at the end of
my footstool—
begging again.

I was nibbling
on the kids’
favorite snack,
those cheesy,
crispy goldfish
crackers.

His furry face
stared, black
eyes intent,
watching every
move I made.
His teeth bared
in a sloppy, Sheltie grin.

Please join us in some Quadrille fun today as we write a poem using the word “grin” in 44 words, no more, no less.  Bjorn is our host at dVerse Poets:  http://dversepoets.com/2016/03/07/quadrille-4/

  1. Oh that’s so familiar. My Papillon mix gives me a half-grin, just kinda raises one lip that quivers!

Corgis can grin too, but poodles struggle with it. Shelties are one of my favorite breeds.

  17. A hungry furry thing would certainly look with intent at the goodness on one’s plate. Food always a potent attraction naturally.Nicely Gayle!

Btw Hank located the Renga ‘game’ at the top left-hand corner and responded but late for a few days, though. For the next game, if ever there is one, Hank will know what to do. Thanks for the reminder, Ma’am!
