Virgo

Vigilant she toils, sweet attention planting
Violets, her favorite, delicate, fragrant flower
Valued for their deep, purple-blue petals
Visioning their success along with the
Vinca, viburnum, valerian and variegated ivy
Vining way up the sturdy oak
Victory will be had…with patience

Vandana Sharma introduces the Pleiades Form for us at dVerse Poets:  http://dversepoets.com/2014/10/16/meetingthebar-pleiades/

Uh, oh…I goofed.  The form is to use six syllables not six words.  I’ll try to redo it tomorrow…too late now!

  13. I appreciate your kind remarks everyone but I was pretty horrified with myself when I found that I had goofed up the prompt! I do try and follow the rules you know. Will try and redo this one when I get the chance and will visit you all. Thanks again!

  15. I’m guess you know by now that the six syllables is not part of the original form as invented you your six words is still very much correct. That being said, you did a masterful job with a difficult letter, but a wonderful astrological sign. All of it is true and yes fully I’m biased – smiles.

    • No, I didn’t know that, Raivenne…I appreciate you letting me know. I won’t bother changing it then. And thanks for your very complimentary comment…very generous of you. I’m biased too…I’m that Virgo!

I love your progression of v words, in way that seems perfectly right … and the notion of Virgo as a gardener. Please don’t rewrite it; let it stand as a sweet variation. 🙂

    • So glad to have a visit from you, Renee, and to hear that things are calming down for you. I’m still working on being more consistent with my writing…it’s a struggle for some reason. But doing well…thank you…and hope you are too. 🙂
