Significance

Photos by Shanyn Silinski

Comparing the major to the minute
does not consider the fact that it
is the life conducted, not the dimension amassed,
which exhibits the charm of life’s significance.

In looking over Shanyn’s lovely photographs I was struck by the large structures and open spaces in comparison to the tiny, seemingly insignificant tiny birds, insects and flowers she portrayed. Thus my macro/micro observation. Thank you to Shanyn for being our hostess at dVerse Poets today. http://dversepoets.com/2014/03/11/poetics-its-a-micromacro-world/

    • I did get a little serious here but it is true…hard to compare life’s importance through being large or teeny tiny…at least in my thinking.

  12. I think yours is the first I read to make that comparision between the small and large picture…and then to take it a step further. Good job!

It is amazing how what one writes that is assessed by so many can end up one or two significant words or line written by the author. How we live our lives more memorable that what we achieve be it great or small – succinct and thought provoking write Gayle.
