Dear friends…

Picture:  Google Images

I may be a bit scarce for a while as I’m in the process of moving.  I’m packing up and heading to Sebastian where my two daughters, and now, new baby granddaughter, Mira lives.  When my daughter and her husband return to work, I’ll be caring for Mira.  I’m really looking forward to this new chapter in my life and creating a loving relationship between Mira and I.

And look forward to getting back into the swing of posting and visiting all of you as soon as I’m settled.

Wish me well!

  1. I think Mira is in for a special relationship. It is never too early to read poetry to a child ( smile )

    • Well thank you, Bill and I think you’re right about the poetry reading. This may inspire me to focus on some “child friendly” verses to write for her.

      • reading to a child is such an intimate thing. We read aloud until my kids were seventeen. We started with kids stuff, and when they were teens we read Harry Potter, and Tolkien and The Wizard of Earthsea.

It makes me smile just to think of it.

        • Yes, there’s something very trusting and sweet in that exchange of reader and listener. I love that you read to your children well into their teen years…very special, Bill. I can see why that would bring a smile…

          • the best part was, I didn’t want to embarrass them but they would say “Aren’t you reading tonight?”

( laughing ) thanks for listening to me brag!

          • Aw, I love that even more…that they asked you that. Oh, sure you can brag all you want because, just you wait buddy…I’m going to have some bragging to do of my own! Stand by… 😉

  2. Good luck with the move! And enjoy your wonderful forthcoming relationship with your new granddaughter. You will be so special to her! Xx come back soon xx

    • Thank you very much for your good wishes for Mira and I, Christine. I’ll be popping in now and then but can’t commit to posting and making the required visits to my friends at this time. I’ll be up and running full time as soon as I can! xoxo

  3. If ever there was a reason to pare back on blogging, it’s this. May you soak up all the love and laughter of being with your precious girls. And may the move go smoothly. I’ll be missing you and thinking of you… 🙂

    • So right you are, Lorna. And thank you for the sweet words…I’m really looking forward to spending time with all of them…they are precious. Will be back as soon as I can. xoxo

  4. Be well, may love abide and guide.

  5. Enjoy your lovely new grandchild Gayle and I can only say you will love every minute.. I do… and bonding is something special… My granddaughter is two in Dec and just getting so interested in Everything.. I love showing her my crystal collection and she draws in her fashion and soooooo loves being in Nature… Yes you will LOVE every moment… even the nappy changes 😉 xxxx
Wishing you well in your move and hope everything goes smoothly..
Take care and a Big Hug.. Sue xxx

    • I sure will, Sue. I’ve borrowed my sister’s grandson for five years now…I love him so much. Well you’re a bit ahead of me in the grandchild age department…but I know how fast they learn and change…little Mira will be up there before I know it. I will love every minute…I’m sure of it…no, I don’t even mind diaper (nappy) changes! Thank you very much for the kind and generous wishes and that Big Hug! Love and hugs…

  6. All the best, Gayle! 🙂

  7. Very best wishes Gayle ~ another chapter 🙂 xx

  8. How lovely Bodhirose 🙂 best wishes

  9. Good luck with your move, Gayle, your ‘new’ life beckons you! I look forward to hearing about it all, when you have settled in amongst your family and have established a fresh routine. Mira will bring you so much joy, as you watch her grow and you’ll always share that special grandmother/granddaughter relationship. I am so happy for you! 🙂
P.S. just to let you know that I nominated you for ‘One Lovely Blog’ award.

    • Many thanks for your kindness and good wishes, Jacqueline! I’m already enjoying this new role and know that it will just keep getting better.

And I appreciate the nomination for the award…is there something I’m supposed to do..and just where is this award? I’ll go check your blog. Thank you!

  10. Oh my – I have lagged behind quite a bit. This is wonderful news. A real Granny Nanny is in the making. One who will bring baby Mira hours of hugs, kisses and beautiful stories for her to fall aleep by. So very happy for you, Gayle. It is a blessing that you have received and I’m sure you will not take lightly. A huge hug from someone who treasures your presence in this world.
    Namaste dear friend …
    Izzy xoxo

    • Yes, a Granny Nanny…I’m so glad I was chosen for the “job.” No, I don’t take this opportunity lightly, Izzy…I know a blessing when I see one…well, maybe not always.. 🙂 Your kind words mean a lot to me…thank you so much. I did see that you have started two separate blogs…I plan to get back to visiting more once I get settled into my new routine.
      Gayle xoxo

  11. May your move go smoothly, and you find joy in your new surroundings, with that beautiful baby girl to gladden your heart. You will get to see the world through brand new eyes all over again, as you explore life’s beauty with Mira.

  12. Good luck! Hope all goes smoothly. We’ll still be here when the dust settles. Enjoy every moment with Mira. 😉

  13. Blessing for the move and in abundance for your ‘new’ life …Mira is one very fortunate little girl! I am so happy for you, Gayle.
