Making the rounds,
watering the outdoor plants
on the patio; I moved
down the steps and
out into the back yard.
Aiming the spray at the
lace-flowered, pink Crepe Myrtle,
I noticed a red dart come into
my line of vision from the left
…a cardinal decided to allow me
in assisting his Saturday, morning bath.

/ September 21, 2012A lovely moment shared, Bodhirose. The garden is full of them, and I seldom feel alone in that solitude. Throughout this hot dry summer I’ve watched the local birds come first to the sprinkler, then to the feeders–as if that sparkling water is way more seductive than food.

/ September 21, 2012Thank you, Hedgewitch. Yes, I think that water is very seductive to them…they gotta get their baths! It’s so fun to watch. I imagine that they must get hot in the summers too…

/ September 22, 2012Beautiful and image as well. I did submit something, Gayle, but had to resend as I forgot the pin number. I probably have now lost out a sit says if one deviates it mean rejections. I simply forgot and did explain but I’ve never submitted anything online before so live and learn. It is no wonder I can’t get anything published. I appreciate your kind words of encouragement.

/ September 22, 2012Thank you, Renee. Well, don’t think that all is lost because perhaps when you resent it correctly it was then accepted for review. It may not have meant that if you submit again with the pin number that it too would be rejected. I haven’t given up my faith in you, Renee! xoxo

/ September 22, 2012Hi Gayle, I was contacted this morning stating the writing has been submitted and will hear more in a couple of weeks. Perhaps that is why I tend to back down from these sorts of things as I tend to get stressed. Wasn’t born the ‘easy going’ type. Thanks again for the encouragement. I guess I won’t ever be too old for that. xoxo

/ September 22, 2012Yay, that’s good news, Renee…I’m really glad to hear that. I wasn’t born the ‘easy going’ type either so I know how you feel and don’t go looking for things to get my nerves stressed. But somehow submitting something doesn’t seem to have that affect on me…I know that I’m up against a lot of talent out there…so tend to let go of the outcome. I have more of the “what the heck” kind of attitude about it….what will it hurt if I give it a try. No, we never get too old for encouragement…I’m very happy that I was able to offer that to you…you are so deserving. Hugs… xo
