The celebration put on by their families was stupendous.  They had been married twenty-five years.  The party went on well into the evening with festive food, drink, conversation and dancing.  As the guests finally departed for the night, they each retired to separate bedrooms and grabbing their cell phones, made calls to their respective lovers.

  1. Young Lady…
    I loved your 55!!!
It hit me just right I guess…Hehehehehe
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

This tickles my fancy–so nice and twisty, and probably pretty realistic in a lot of cases. Great 55.

  3. Pretty sad when a marriage reaches that point. Might as well hang it up. That or hang up on the lovers.

  4. Oh my. Didn’t expect that…but not? Well done, my friend!

  5. How ironic, but true to life – I was married to my first husband for exactly 25 years. Our decree absolute was granted on (what would have been) our Silver Wedding Anniversary! But his infidelity freed me to be me, so I have no regrets 🙂

    • Wow…that’s really something…divorcing on the day of your anniversary. I was married for 26 years and separated for about 3 before we divorced. I felt free as well…and happy…all (well the bulk of it) of my grieving was done in my marriage! Yay for us!!

  6. ouch!!!!! conjugal life sometimes can be very adjusting. 🙂

    • It takes a lot of “adjusting” to be married. Many people just aren’t cut out for the job…but they find that out too late.

  7. So sad … too bad someone din’t just say, “Good-Bye”.
I like the shock value in it. It was totally unexpected.
    Good one ….

  8. :O…wow. Didn’t see that one coming! Well done!

  9. HeeHee! On target. Unfortunately, it’s not just a story.

    An interesting twist on love,
perhaps there is something a tad
    naughty in there somewhere but
for once I will leave that to your
    wicked imagination 🙂 😉

    Cell Phones Indeed…
    I prefer real contact don’t you? 🙂

    • I’m sure there was plenty of real contact…my story was limited to 55 words. The rest will have to come from imagination…I can only guess where yours may take you. 😉

Nice to see you…I had tried to visit you a day or so ago and was blocked but now find that I can again have access. I’ll be by soon to see what you’ve been up to. Hope all is well and happy for you, Androgoth.

You weren’t blocked exactly, I have changed my Space to Private and have been sorting through a lot of posts, cleaning up etc 🙂 Hope your day has been a nice one so far 🙂
