Sheltie

When we first
brought you
home,
you were too
tiny to even
jump up on the
fireplace but very
soon you were
chasing two small, giggling
girls up the stairs, herding them.

  1. We miss our Sheltie. Followed Mrs. MM around like they were tethered together. Thanks for bringing back the memories and playing along with the Sunday 160.

  3. Smiles. I think those of us who love dogs (and cats) could probably write a tome of poetry about them….illustrated.

    • Thanks so much. This was written with the challenge of using only 160 total characters. You may want to give it a try sometime–see the link up there if you would.

  9. Beautiful and precise. An ode to “man’s best friend”. I could put any breed as the title. I even looked down at my three little best friends after reading this. Thankful for their presence. Thank you for reminding me, Gayle.

    • Thank you, Leslie–something tells me that you don’t need much reminding to remember how much you care for your three best friends. Now I have a cat as a best friend. 🙂
