The Liebster Blog Award

Many thanks and much gratitude to The Lonely Recluse http://lonelyrecluse.wordpress.com/ who honored me with the Liebster Blog Award.  I am honored.  (I copied the rules from your blog, TLR)

As with most awards there are a few rules which are:

  • Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
  • Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
  • Copy and paste the award on your blog.
  • Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
  • And most of all – have bloggity-blog fun!

Some new people to me that I would like to honor:

  • DM Denton:   http://bardessdmdenton.wordpress.com/
  • Lafemmeroar:  http://lafemmeroar.wordpress.com/
  • Mish:  http://www.writer-in-transit.co.za/
  • Betty Hayes Albright:  http://raindancepoetry.wordpress.com/
  • Fallen Elegy:  http://fallenelegy.wordpress.com/
No need to pass this on to anyone if you are not so inclined.  I always feel that these awards are meant to be an honor and not a bother.  I am grateful for being acknowledged and hope you are too.

congratulations for the very well deserved award.

    • It is nice to be thought of–and thank you very much, Trisha.

He and I had a chat last night and I asked him if had ever heard from you–he said no–but he did see my message on his blog. I saw that Victoria had a message on her blog telling her Blogger and Blogspot friends that she was unable to leave comments for them. So, apparently, she is having the same problem as you. So sorry.

      • good to know that someone else is also facing problems with blogspot blogs, you are a priceless friend gayle. i visit victoria but i missed the message.

well, tell soulbro that i try every day to place a comment on his blog, without fail.

today i tried to place comment on both his blogs and even tried his book sale blog, nothing worked.

        • Victoria had the same message up again today–so apparently it’s not just you having the problem. I’ll let Soulbro know that you have been trying to leave him messages.

I hope the problem is rectified soon–that’s too bad for all of those Blogger and Blogspot people.

  10. I agree that these awards shouldn’t be a bother. No worries about copying and pasting the rules off my blog, I basically copied the whole post from Faith, and just modified it to sound more like me (except the rules they’ve been like that for at least three [now four] passes).

    • When people that I nominate don’t want to accept–I honor their wishes–especially if they don’t want to accept The Versatile Blogger Award where you’re supposed to nominate 15 blogs! That’s a lot.

Like you, I think these awards are just making the rounds over and over again. (How do we get off the merry-go-round?!) I guess we just politely decline…

      Thanks, TLR!

Actually no, I never bother with them Gayle,
I used to see these awards all the time back
in the days of Windows Live Spaces, but my
none participation takes nothing away from
your own thoughts on them, and so I say, do
enjoy them and I hope that you are a nominee
for many more to come my wickedly fine friend.

Have a wonderful Wednesday now 🙂

    • Thanks, as always, for your kind support of me, Androgoth. I certainly do enjoy acknowledgement or recognition for my writing but receiving the same awards over and over again is a bit much–I think they lose their “impact” so to speak. If you know what I mean.

I’ve enjoyed my Wednesday–it’s getting towards 10PM now–hope you have too.

      Gayle 😉
