September 11, 2001
marks a shift
in my feelings
of safety and
my awareness
of how some
look at Americans.
I do not hate
because of this
but am thankful
for the knowledge.

/ September 11, 2011I followed you back from your comment on my poem and was very happy I did. Really like your style in writing.
I agree with you, there has been a shift and also agree with your comment about not feeling “as secure any longer in the hands of our “authorities”.
I think to find the truth,, one needs to follow the $$$. (I had a long discussion about this with my friend today). I also agree, I will not hate, bad for the health, but the information is a good thing! Take care.

My brother and I were just talking about the same thing–follow the $$$. Bottom line, that seems to be the core issue of all the ills of the world–greed. But hating has never helped anything.
Peace…

/ September 12, 2011I really like that you wrote about the “shift”. I think a lot of people feel this way, but have a hard time putting a finger on their anxiety. It’s important to remember, and even more important to not let it change us into the kind of people who perpetrated such horrible acts. Peace has a price. I wish that it were not so, but in the world in which we live, it does have a price. This was very well said, G. Thank you for taking the time to remember.
