Season’s Shift

Fall is coming

Image by Kathryn Ashley via Flickr

shorter days
by only minutes
sun hangs lower
waning by bits

a sense
of change,
subtle
but clear

light and temperature
is modifying

transformation
brings
season’s shift

    • Yes, they do and I always look forward to the Winter Solstice when the process “reverses” itself and they get longer by minutes! Thanks so much, Shanyns.

  11. yes the seasons are about to shift and it brings the feeling that we need to adapt to a different climate. in a different angle the previous season refers to our past and the coming one to our future, time shifts and we need to adapt. a deeper hidden meaning with simple words. beautiful

    • So very true–we do make adaptations as life moves from one climate to another–internally as well as outwardly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me, fallenelegy.
