Hurricane Irene
blew by our coast.
Whew, we dodged
another one!
Squalls of wind
and rain came
and went for a day.
I’m sorry–it was
someone else’s
turn to get clobbered!

/ August 28, 2011We’ve had our fair share but I really was hoping for more rain from the outer bands of the storm. We stayed pretty dry for the most part.

/ August 28, 2011As of this morning, it is in the New England area–where I also lived for a few years. I don’t wish a hurricane on anybody. It’s sad to hear of lives lost–many needlessly.

/ August 28, 2011Thanks–me too! I was surprised at how little rain we got, which we could have used. I guess it was too far offshore.

/ August 31, 2011This is so very true. We are usually sitting at the edge of our seats with hurricanes. Glad it didn’t come our way … sorry others had to feel the pain.
Very nice desriptions of these little buggers.

Thanks, Izzy.
