A fellow who tended to brag
Was married to a hideous hag
Together their inelegance
Made their company ponderous
A burden, cumbersome, a drag

/ August 25, 2011I found yours over at Madeleine’s blog, Victoria–very cute. “Hag” seemed to be a popular word in this one didn’t it.
Have a nice Thursday–we’re going to be skirted by a category 3 or 4 hurricane in the next day or so. Thank goodness it’s going to miss our state!

line – was married to a hideous hag – hahahaha … nothing to brag about there.
Enjoyed this, Gayle.

/ August 25, 2011Hope Irene stays off-shore. We are going to be in NC next month to golf Pinehurst! David won a trip. So far, they flooded, felt an earthquake and now a hurricane? Yikes.

/ August 25, 2011I do too. Forecasters are showing Irene missing us altogether–we’ve already had squall-like wind and rain now and then today from the outer bands. We can use the rain though.
I hope your destination next month will not have been affected by the storm. How nice for your husband to have won a golf trip.

/ August 25, 2011Gayle, love the limericks! I always think of them too late to post… and I’m Irish. Imagine that. Maybe I should have a Guinness (room temp) and ponder it then?! Funny stuff, especially the word “ponderous.” Oh, yeah, I know this couple. Their name is Legion At Cocktail Parties! Amy
