Wild Roses

Deeply petaled roses arching tight-knit spirals

Uncultivated wild spread spirals

Twining throughout the ancient arbor

Untouched by hands your unshed spirals

Exquisite assembly of color gathers

Palest pink mixed with cherry-bled spirals

Nothing equates to their delicate bouquet

Scent evoked from the bloom-headed spirals

Pleasure is taken; Bodhirose enjoys the bliss

Nature’s ornaments,  superior, purebred spirals

Ghazal form of poetry

  6. Because of your repeated use of the word spiral I pictured movement and growth in your words. You fleshed out your vision of the wild roses for me and made me sense your intimacy with it. Awesome.

    • Well, I was trying to follow the rules of a new form of poem. So that’s what I came up with. I’m glad you sensed movement when reading it.

Thank you so much, Leslie. I appreciate your visits and kind comments very much.
