Saving Trees

Used to be when I would write

I’d make mistakes, scratch out, erase

Wadded up, thrown away

Countless papers–what a waste

Now by only pressing “delete”

I save a tree

True but writing with a pen to paper is still a beautiful thing. I love your piece, though, as if only deleting something you write can save a tree, that too is a beautiful thing. Thank You!

    • I agree. I still do write with pen to paper too. And have saved some writings for decades. I’m glad that you enjoyed this.

      Thank you…

  5. I used to have to cut and paste with scissors, glue and tape. This method is much better. Thanks for playing along with the Sunday 160.

  10. What a cool poem, Bodhirose. I like how you start with making mistakes in writing.Made me think of the mistakes we make with waste as thispoem so readily points out. Neat twist.
