Tree cricket chirring
Sings out into the moonlight
Stone lantern flickers

  10. Many interesting elements here: the sounds, the moonlight and the stone lantern.

  12. What a feeling invoked with this one…the sounds, the chills the not wanting to go to bed just yet….plus churring reminds me of churros and I’m hungry…lol. Great work.

    • Well, this sure did invoke some feelings in you…some not even related to the poem itself…perhaps you should have a snack!

      Thanks!

  13. This is very nice, but there is only one!

Also, where is the conflict in the two images, the turning point?

    Lovely modern haiku.

  14. I must have misinterpreted the prompt…didn’t know there was supposed to be more than one. Also, I thought the turning point was the stone lantern….started off with crickets singing in the night…then your attention is taken to the flickering stone lantern…right? I guess you didn’t think so… Thanks for coming by and critiquing…I need all the help I can get.
