Baby Cardinal

Baby cardinal at the feeder

Crying piteously to his parents

I’m still just a fledgling–I’m still not quite sure

Don’t leave me alone yet, the world’s a bit scary!

    • Absolutely.

There actually was a baby cardinal out by one of the feeders today–just peeping for all he was worth–I’m still a baby! 🙂

      • That’s so sweet. We have lots of birds around here, but I haven’t seen a cardinal. I love our gray mourning doves though. They’re a such a peaceful delight.

Enjoy your wonderful nature there in Florida. Have a fun day …

  5. Those fledgelings can get pretty big before they’re ready to go off on their own, whether they know it yet or not.

    • I know–sometimes its hard to tell the baby from the parents–except they are the ones peeping their little heads off!

    • I’ve seen three baby cardinals with their parents outside my bedroom window just about every afternoon for a couple of weeks now. They can fly but still need a little more supervision I guess. I love to watch them–they are very pretty.
