I thought the bougainvillea
was frozen, dead and gone–
No more flower to gaze upon.
But when trimming it today
a bit of green was found.
Beauty for another spring!

Inside the Mind of Isadora
/ March 29, 2011My bouganvillea is blooming with bright crimson color. I, too, thought it had fallen victim to our winter – but no. She is alive and beautiful.
I love these happy endings … good job , Gayle.
Namaste,
Isadora

/ March 29, 2011We have two. One of the bright pink ones and one beautiful tangerine color. It’s the tangerine/orange colored one that seemed dead but now has lovely little leaves bursting out all over. I’m so relieved about that.
I’m glad yours survived too, Isadora.

/ March 30, 2011We’ve already had some summer-like temps here–spring usually blasts by very quickly!. I know winter can really hang on for a quite a while in those northern locations though–I don’t envy that.
I hope your day is a good one, Jamie–thanks for stopping by this morning.

/ April 8, 2011their massive quantity makes them extra attractive, there are lots of houses in and around delhi that used to use these vines as boundary- back when i was there in 1981-85, they were visual delight. i used to count the variety of colour during long trips..
