UFO

Spacecraft

Hovers low

Zaps me aboard

I find myself face to face with a grey.

Sit!

Lay down!

I am told

(No mouth is used)

Awaken with an implant in my head.

Returned

Time is lost

Did it happen?

Maybe I’ve watched too many sci-fi films!

Many abductees describe aliens as grey humanoids, known as “greys”.

  1. I like the way this ends. Did it really happen or just too many sci-fi movies? Hmmm… Great read. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I love the abruptness of each line, how you only use a few syllables, it really gives the poem an air of immediacy.

    • It’s called a tetractys. A style of poetry where you start with one syllable, two, three, four and then ten syllables in the last of five lines. This was my second attempt using this form. It’s fun!

Sometimes I like to research a new form and give it a try.

Thank you for your nice opinion–I appreciate it.

      • Its a good effect, I’ll have to try it sometime instead of my useual strict 5 syllable per line (pentameter?). It’s always fun to try a different form, even if it is just for the challenge, espeically in that case.

    • Yes, a grey! Which ones would not be scary ones?

Extremely grateful the implant was in the head and a probe wasn’t inserted elsewhere…

Gulp… maybe it did really happen…

I too have been watching too many sci- fis lately.. it sets me thinking..
Maybe we do have a life- or lives out there- just our mind isn’t ready to understand n accept the truth!

I wish to explore their place someday- do you know of any alien who blogs? lolss

      • I’m very intrigued by the thought of intelligent life out there somewhere. And why couldn’t there be? And yes, our minds could block (or be blocked) out certain experiences–our brains are fascinating too aren’t they.

No, I don’t know of any aliens that blog–but maybe there are some… Hehe!

        xoxo 🙂
