Orange blossom’s fragrance

attracts the hovering bees–

hands pluck ripened fruit.

 


When I was a child and the orange groves were plentiful here in Central Florida, the fragrance of the orange blossoms nearby was exquisite.

    • I like oranges too. They grew plentiful in my neighborhood growing up and we kids would just pluck one or two if we wanted a taste.

  11. i have read so much about orange blossoms, never seen one. i have seen the flowers of lemon tree- they look so beautiful and their fragrance is divine.

  12. Ah, and when I was a little girl I was surrounded by that wonderful fragrance and soon I’ll be in Palm Desert where, in April, it will be back. Very evocative, Gayle.
