    • I forgot to put the link to the blogger that does the Haiku Wednesday. I thought I would try my hand at the topic of “Inhibition” this week. This is my first entry.

      I know this feeling intimately… πŸ™‚

    • Thanks for the positive comment, Jazzbumpa!

This haiku was more of a reflection of who I was at one time–but I’ve come a long way since those days of “hiding out”. πŸ™‚

I sure appreciate your encouragement though.

    • Thank you for the welcoming comment. Just got back from out of town for Thanksgiving and didn’t get that link up before I took off–I promise I’ll do better next time. πŸ™‚

Embarrassed people are often those with the most to offer the rest of us. What gifts do you bring to the world today?

    • I’m going to reflect on that–thanks for your comment. I’m not nearly as embarrassed going through life as I once was–but I haven’t forgotten that overwhelming feeling. πŸ™‚

  5. That was me – until I went to a new Jr High. I decided to be an actress and pretend I was that confident girl.. no one there would know. It became a habit, and some would now say it stuck to well!

    • I’ve heard of that happening with other people–it’s called “fake it until you make it”–apparently you were quite successful at that technique. Good for you!

  9. I think all of us can relate to this at different times in our lives. At least I can. And then we grow through it. Nicely written.

    • Yes, I think most have felt like this at some point in their lives. Thank goodness I grew out of those extreme shy feelings. Thank you, Victoria.
