    The rose that flies*

Walking down a street one sunny day
Minding my own business and going my way
Pass by a park with a pretty singing voice
Could it be the girls or could it be the boys
Bordered bushes a plenty rowed side by side and smell the scent
A cardinal just went past me in the bush it went
I had no time to say bye bye
But I remembered the rose that day it was the rose that flies.

  2. What a perfect description! I didn’t remember this but I’m glad you posted it here for me to read. As you know, I was/am very enamored of your Mother Goose story. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love cardinals too. We always have an abundance of cardinals that come to our feeder. Makes me happy to see them. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Much love always,

  4. Your two bird poems are wonderful. We don’t have cardinals here, but I’ve seen them when I lived in Maryland. Such a thrill. Wish you could see that Audubon exhibit we have at the museum…I’m touring 3rd grade on Friday. They should have fun.

    • Just got back from my trip very late last night. So glad to be home but had a wonderful few days away. We are getting ready to have our Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday. We’ve been invited out of town and to spend overnight with my niece who is hosting Thanksgiving this year so will be gone a couple more days later this week.

I’m happy to be able to “talk” with you again.

      Much love…
