    • It’s been interesting to see the different takes people have on this. My idea was that they were simply parting after a romantic interlude–some people thought it was the end to the relationship… Like any type of art–it can be interpreted very personally.

Love your sweet musing sounds, Annie. My name came from my love of Buddhism and my last name being Rose–I’m glad you like it–me too!

Thanks for your kind comment and linking your poem–makes it so easy to read others work. I’ll be right over…

  11. I wonder… does this convey the paradoxical nature of love… being oneness and yet separate? Or the natural flow of coming together and then parting… I see (or am I imagining?) your words reflected in the Chinese character. Beautiful.

    • I think you’ve got it, Lahn. There is a natural flow to coming together and parting–I was surprised that some people thought this seemed sad…but I guess they had another take on it then I did. I did not have that intention when writing it though.

I hadn’t noticed my words reflected in the Chinese character–but I’m glad you saw that. Thanks so much for coming by and letting me know that you liked my poem.

I’m enjoying this haiku writing. xoxo
