Hiking Stick

Hiking Stick?

Hiking stick waiting

for yearning to climb higher–

offering support.

This was inspired by my friend, Soulbro, who loves to hike the mountains.

      • The story behind this is that Soulbro has been going on hikes in the mountains around his home lately and he inspired this poem. He told me about one hiking trail where people would leave hiking sticks for others to borrow if they needed one. And then I found that photo that illustrated it perfectly.

Did you see what I wrote under the poem–that it was inspired by Soulbro.

  10. Gayle, this is so meaningful..
“offering support and yearning to climb higher..” Aren’t woman made of the same threads? Always standing as a support, wanting to go beyond. Their dreams are replaced with their loved ones’ and then they learn to walk for them and feel happy for herself.. Like the hiking sticks.. themselves not walking and yet wanting to walk..!!
This is how I looked at it My Dear.. xx
