You and Me

You.
And me.
Look at us.
We came to be.
We are, we’re two; we came to be here too.
We are now here, now just what do we do?
Don’t look at me.
I don’t know.
Do you?
No.

Tetractys are at least 5 lines–20 syllables  1, 2, 3, 4, 10–can be reversed, doubled, tripled, etc.

Time

Time never was and
it never will be.
Philosophers can’t
agree and neither can we.

You can’t
race against it,
save it,
waste it,
pass it,
borrow it,
mark it,
make it,
give it or
take it–
and it’s not high.

Time can’t
fly,
tell,
ripen,
run out,
call it a night,
come,
go,
be lost
or found,
and it’s
not money.

We only have now.
The past is gone and the future is not a given.

The Road Ahead

Mountains and Sky

The road ahead isn’t visible to me

as I only have now in which to be.

But I must admit, I still will project

as to what my future may bring.

I hope for the best and try to face any test

with courage and graceful aplomb.
