no, really, I’ve tried,
nothing appeared,
my brain feels dry,
a bit dusty inside
not even a small
stone can rattle out
nothing of nature,
nothing with wings,
nothing flowering,
nothing that sings,
no laughter,
or cheer,
happened to me
but one thing did
but I can’t tell you
yet…it’s a secret
…you’ll have to wait

/ January 5, 2013Well you managed to create a piece I can certainly relate to … except for the secret!! How long do we have to wait in suspense? :D

/ January 5, 2013Honestly I couldn’t think of anything to write about…I was drawing a blank. But yes there is something that I will be sharing soon…so added that “teaser” at the end. Thanks, Becca.

/ January 5, 2013I love what you”be done here, Gayle! First the fact that you are putting not words the way I’ve been feeling about writing ~ nothing at all comes to mind ~ and then for dropping in the teaser in the last verse. Now you’ve got us hooked, wondering what on earth your secret might be! Hope you can reveal all soon! :)

/ January 5, 2013Oh, no, predictive text seems to have made a nonsense of my comment ~ grrrrrr! It should read *you’ve…….. put into words’ etc!
Bodhirose
/ January 5, 2013Aww, not to worry…I usually can decipher meaning through the typing errors that we all make. But no, couldn’t think of anything to write about for my small stone yesterday…so decided to write about nothing..haha. There is something I will be sharing soon though… Thanks for being able to relate, Jacqueline.

/ January 5, 2013Gayle this is great! Managing to write about not being able to write… Then as you did something (?) came to you!
This actually makes me think about how beneficial it may be to simply write every morning no matter what it is. I have read in many places that this is good for writers to do but I havent ever done it. I think I may try it; it may keep the juices flowing:)
Lo e and hugs

/ January 5, 2013Yes, something did come to me that I’ll be sharing soon. Thus, my teaser tagged on there…now the suspense is growing, eh?
I believe it would be beneficial to write every day but I have yet to muster up the discipline to do it. But I have joined in with the Small Stones challenge and that is every day during the month of January…so here I am. Now, have to come up with another something today…oh my!
Thanks, Christine… xoxo
