La Lune

I

ink well night
cool glow splits in two
shadows peaking peek

II

thinking thoughts are fraught
with danger
ought not too much thought

III

moon light follows
over my shoulder, shadowing close
watching, guiding, comforting

IV

orchid swinging low
tempts the bee
offers her nectar

  11. A well-crafted pair of Kelly lunes and of Collom lunes – showing exactly how well they help focus the image, thought, theme. I especially like lune IV, with its images of nature that evoke classical haiku. Well done.

  18. The first is my favorite. In fact, there is something amazing how the word order you used in the very first line. Nicely done!

  21. That’s a fine piece Sam put together. Meanwhile, you’ve done well within the guidelines. I like them all, but I love number three. So partial to moonlight.
